The primary function of the Educational Interpreter is to facilitate effective communication among students who are deaf or hard of hearing, their hearing peers, classroom teachers, and other school personnel. The Educational Interpreter provides interpreting services throughout the school day to support the student's access to instruction, communication, and participation in academic and non-academic activities.

What an incredible 2 days! Our first "Real Money. Real World/DREAM BIG" showcase just wrapped, and it exceeded every expectation. Through an amazing partnership with the Mercer County OSU Extension Office and Mercer County Fairgrounds, over 500 8th graders dove into real-world financial decision making, learning from local businesses what it truly costs to own a car, buy a house, and support a family. Then, students explored the DREAM BIG showcase in the Grand Event Center, connecting with professionals and experiencing hands-on careers through machinery and equipment too big for any classroom (but perfect for the grand space!). It was truly unforgettable and there are so many who donated their time to make this possible. THANK YOU for supporting our students as they DREAM BIG in Mercer County!

It was so good to get everyone together again for an afternoon of fun, laughter, and a little friendly competition. Our students had a great time, and judging by the reactions, I think our staff had just as much fun! 😊

We are seeking two dedicated and compassionate paraprofessionals to join our Elementary Low Incidence classrooms in Fort Recovery Elementary School and St. Henry Elementary School. These positions provide meaningful instructional and behavioral support to students with significant developmental, cognitive, communication, and/or behavioral needs within a structured, nurturing, and supportive learning environment. These classrooms are built on strong relationships, individualized support, and celebrating the small victories that make a big difference.
