Community Learning Center (CLC) Supervisor
Full Time Position for the 2025-2026 School Year
Responsibilities: Provide leadership in planning, developing, coordinating and evaluating instruction for the MCESC Community Learning Center and Rose Academy programs for Grades K-12. Assist in the on-going development and improvement of the programs for students with mental health and behavioral needs; work with the superintendent, board of education, client school districts, MCESC leadership team, staff, parents, community groups and professional organizations to implement and maintain excellent special educational programs. Promote unity by working cooperatively with others, maintaining a positive attitude, and continually working toward ways to improve work processes, efficiency, and quality.
- Ability to work effectively with others and demonstrate professionalism while maintaining a positive work attitude.
- Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. Effective, active listening skills.
- Organizational and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of special education policies and practices and experience teaching and/or coordinating special education programs.
- Supervises students, teachers and all support staff. Conducts annual evaluations for all staff assigned to CLC and Rose Academy.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Graduate or professional degree (masters or above) in education from an accredited college or university.
Appropriate State of Ohio Supervision/Administrative license as required by the Ohio Department of Education and OTES certification.
Minimum of 3 years administrative or coordination experience over academic programs preferred but not required.

Perform support services to help students achieve productive learning experiences within a prescribed educational plan. Provide guidance and encouragement to help students achieve their intellectual, social, and emotional potentials. Positively promote the inclusion of students with disabilities into the regular classrooms and school activities. Prepare educational materials, monitor small group activities, provide personal assistance to students, and perform other diverse duties to assist the students in accessing the general educational curriculum and developing vocational skills, daily living skills, social skills, and communication skills.
