Full-Time Technology Instructor & Coach for the 2023-24 School Year

This position will be in Versailles Exempted Village School District
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop a curriculum and lessons appropriate for students in grades K-4 focused on a creative maker space, design process
 -Collaborate with educators in the district to integrate content standards specific to each grade-level
- Plan lessons that support student engagement in the design process
- Implement lessons in grades K-4 using a maker space, design process
- Teach classes as scheduled
- Collaborate and co-teach some classes
 -Assist classroom teacher with the development or delivery of stem-like lessons in the regular classroom
- Creation of effective student learning experiences that focus on problem-solving and creativity.
- Stay up to date on innovations in technology and their implications for learning

Minimum Qualifications:  
- Valid state department of education license/certificate for teaching
- Meets all mandated health requirements
- A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment
- Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies
- Keeps current with technology and other workplace innovations that support job function

Full-Time Social Worker for the 2023-24 School Year
Qualifications/Licenses:
- LISW, LSW are preferred
- Bachelor of Social Work is also preferred
- Bachelor in Education with the commitment/ability to obtain social work licensure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure the safety of students
- Assistance in the identification of those children who are being abused and or neglected and contracting of the needed community resources in providing service to the child and family.
- Provide casework services to students and or their parents on an individual basis.  This includes home visitation.
- Maintain respect at all times for confidential information, (student information).
- Provide information about a particular student or problem situation to help improve a teacher-pupil relationship.
- Consult with community learning center and school district personnel in an examination of symptoms and causes of pupil problems in the school setting.
- Consult with other special services personnel to develop and coordinate an overall treatment approach for students or groups of students.
- Evaluate problems that have been referred, the progress that has been made, and the next steps to be taken with a teacher or other school personnel at appropriate intervals.
- Act as a liaison with community agencies to facilitate services for those students and their families needing specialized help.
- Seek, coordinate, write, implement, and monitor grants related to social services for students.  
- Represent the district at local, state, and regional activities/committees upon the request o
f the superintendent.
- Communicate with the public, the board, and staff on school improvement efforts.
- Recommend needed changes in policy when appropriate.  
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Special Education Supervisor or Superintendent.

Part-Time Literacy Coach for the 2023-24 School Year

This position will be located in the Parkway Local School District.

Bachelor's Degree in Education or Educational Experience.

5 years minimum experience in an educational setting

Job Description:  

1.  If not certified, complete an approved certified training

2.  Serve as a member of the MTSS Team to provide expertise in the identification, intervention, and remediation of dyslexia

3.  Administer & analyze universal screener

     - Materials & Resources

6.  Research new intervention programs and train and support teachers in the implementation of those programs

Intervention Specialist - Mild to Moderate - for Fort Recovery Middle School

This position is in Fort Recovery Middle School and will begin in August 2023 for the 2023-24 School Year.

The Mercer County ESC is seeking an Intervention Specialist - Mild to Moderate at Fort Recovery Middle School (Grades 5-8).
The candidate should be dedicated to supporting the MCESC mission of providing high quality cooperative services that positively impact the diverse educational needs of students, staff and community.  The candidate should also believe all students are valued, can learn and grow, and will become successful and independent adults.
Essential job duties include:
  • Providing individual and small group instruction designed to meet the individual needs of students in communication, social, and daily living skills, with a focus using curriculum based lessons.
  • Creating an effective environment of learning that includes a climate that reinforces acceptable student behavior, attitudes and social skills.
  • Cooperates and collaborates with parents and other professionals to help meet student goals.
Qualified candidates must possess the following:
  • Bachelor's Degree-Licensed Intervention Specialist-Mild to Moderate
  • Valid teaching license from the Ohio Department of Education

2022 - 2023 Temporary Substitute Teacher License 


Applicants must have a high school diploma. If interested, please fill out the Temporary Substitute Teacher Questionnaire link below. You will then receive an email with additional information and instructions. Once you apply for the temporary license and have all the additional information turned in, you can begin subbing, although you will not receive the actual license until the end of September. 


 
**Last year's temporary subs will ONLY need to apply for a new temporary license on the Ohio Department of Education website using the Mercer County ESC IRN #048546, as they did last year.
